Conventional bridal wisdom now has you running around like a chicken with its head cut off. Don't let the title fool you! While this book is a super resource for brides-to-be, it is a comprehensive guide to wellness for anyone at any time. It is a fun read with valuable exercises to prioritize your thoughts, your day and your life to achieve new levels of health. Meredith's humorous, honest and heartfelt approach to improved wellness flows through each chapter. As a fitness professional, De-Stress & Fit in That Dress is a must-read for my clients.
Besides the fact that the book is a fun read and is peppered with great quotes and a few yummy recipes, her information about a healthy lifestyle is great -- and what better time to get started. Life can be stressful anyway, but trying to plan a perfect wedding can put you over the top. This information will last a lifetime because it will set you up with lasting easy changes that you might not have thought of or at least need to be reminded of. More and more we are hearing that stress can cause you to hold onto those extra pounds which why this book is so helpful. Not only does she give solid advice, but her explanations of the "why" of it all are easy to understand.
Meredith's book, De-Stress & Fit In That Dress, is a quick read. However, just because it's a quick read does not mean that it's not jam packed full of information. You won't find a lot of technical jargon here but rather useful information, broken down into manageable pieces, that you can use starting today. I would recommend this not only to brides-to-be, but to anyone wanting to improve their lifestyle and their health.
Great information that I too wish I had back in the day. Great info on nutrition, stress, sleep, and movement to help you relax and have a calm, happy, peaceful wedding. Meredith also addresses relaxation and meditation, 2 foundations that are important to feeling a strong connection with yourself so you may love deeply and connect better with others. I love that she touches upon connection through play! Big people need to play too. Another important topic is real food nutrition. How we nourish ourselves affects all areas of our life. Meredith addresses this foundation as well and even offers some great recipes.

If you are planning a wedding, I highly recommend this read!
